Lifting Belt Velites: Comfortable and Supportive Weightlifting Belt for Core Protection

Q: When should I use the belt: always or only for heavy lifts?

It depends on the stimulus. As a rule of thumb: Use it for heavy sets, volume peaks, or when fatigue begins to compromise your posture. Avoid it when the goal is to build technical tolerance without assistance for example, light control work. The belt is a tool for protection; it is not a substitute for an active core or proper technique.

The Lifting Belt Velites offers support without extreme rigidity. It uses viscoelastic foam that adapts to your body, providing stability while allowing for full range of motion. **The Problem It Solves** Most lifting belts fail due to their straight, rigid shape, which digs into the ribs or loses lumbar contact during squats. The Velites Lifting Belt solves this with an **anatomical design** for side clearance and a **viscoelastic inner layer** that molds to your body with heat, ensuring constant support without technical distractions.

Yes, the Lifting Belt Velites provides solid support by molding to your body's shape, helping to stabilize the core and protect the lower back during heavy lifts.

No, the anatomical design reduces pressure on the ribs and hips, preventing discomfort during deep squats or movements like thrusters or front rack.

Yes, the Lifting Belt Velites is perfect for deadlifts, offering support for your core without limiting your ability to brace and breathe effectively.

Yes, it is ideal for CrossFit® movements like squats, thrusters, cleans, and snatches, providing stability to the core during high-intensity functional workouts.

Yes, the Lifting Belt Velites is suitable for beginners who need core protection during heavy lifts, but it should be used in combination with proper technique and active core engagement. Where this belt makes the most sense for a beginner: **Squats:** Back squat, Front squat, Overhead squat. **Olympic Lifts:** Clean, Clean & Jerk. **Functional Movements:** Thrusters, Deadlifts. **Carries and Loads:** Yoke carry (core stability during loaded movement). **Competition / Teamwork (CrossFit):** Worm WODs and partner/team formats (high core demand due to shared squat mechanics).

When adjusting the belt, the front ends should not touch. If they do, the size is too large. Ensure you can breathe and brace without discomfort or restriction.

Wash the belt by hand with cold water, air dry, and avoid using a washing machine or dryer. Store it in a dry place, not in a damp bag. **Will sweat or chalk damage it?** The belt is built for high durability and is not affected by chalk or sweat under normal use. However, taking proper care of it will extend its lifespan.

Position the belt with the logo centered and properly oriented. Adjust it so you can still breathe while being able to push your abdomen against the belt. **Sizing/Fit Rule:** The front ends should not touch. If they meet or overlap, the size is too large. **Signs of correct use:** A sensation of core stability. An upright posture throughout the movement. **Signs of incorrect use:** Pain in the ribs or lower back. Restricted breathing (stop and readjust).

It depends on the stimulus. As a rule of thumb: **Use it** for heavy sets, volume peaks, or when fatigue begins to compromise your posture. **Avoid it** when the goal is to build technical tolerance without assistance (for example, light control work). **The belt is a tool for protection; it is not a substitute for an active core or proper technique.**

There is no single universal answer: find the spot where you can **brace hard** without the belt hitting your hips or ribs when flexing. The anatomical shape is specifically designed to increase that range of comfort.

If it restricts your breathing, causes pain in your ribs or lower back, or forces you to change your natural torso position. In any of these cases, stop and readjust.
